Rabbit Hunt

The shooters came by yesterday evening, spent several hours out in the fields with their air guns and retired with a haul of eight rabbits- enough to keep them in pies for a week- but far fewer than I or they expected. They had set themselves up in the lower field and when I looked out the bedroom window to see how they were getting on there were several rabbits gambolling about in the upper field- behind their backs, as it were.
