Clearing The Jobs That Have Been Piling Up
Jan. 8th, 2016 10:17 amYesterday morning was Dyno-rod. Yesterday afternoon was the plumber. All he had to do was change a tap- but the old tap had been in place for 40 years and didn't want to be taken away and the job took him four hours- much of which time he spent lying on his back with his head in a cupboard, sighing piteously.
This morning was the telephone engineer. Our phones have been behaving erratically and he's rationalised the system- which was absurdly complicated- with three connection boxes- and now we have reason to believe that the phones will be working all the time.
