Surveying The Property

The fields are boggy but not as boggy as they were last year. The lower field is dotted all over with mole hills and the ground cover is mostly moss. The bonfire site from a year ago, where Matthew burned the brushwood from the big willow that fell into the stream bed, is entirely grown over with briars.

The field adjoining ours- belonging to Lee- has sheep in it.

And now I've watched all three seasons of The Killing. The second two add nothing essential to the 20 hours of the first- but isn't that generally the way with sequels? And the stories get increasingly far-fetched.

But I'm very happy to have spent more time with Sarah Lund.
