Week Off

We're having a week off, starting today. First stop will be Huntingdon for no better reason than we've never been there before, second stop will be Alice's to say "hello" and drop off a couple of pictures- big Victorian prints of voluminous Victorian dream girls that we don't have room for any more and she apparently does. And so on... By the end of the week we'll be in Oldham where the forecast is for snow. It will be interesting visiting Oldham as a visitor not a resident. Sam- who is buying the house (it's nearly. nearly, nearly through) has invited us for dinner.

We're at the Old Ferry Boat in at Holywell. It is claimed (On what authority I know not) that refreshments have been served on this site since AD 560.

We have a view of the riverOuse from our bedroom window. Also we can hear owls.
