Escapology

For the last ten months or so the door to the rabbits shed has been held shut by a brick. My mother and I went to visit them yesterday morning and found Tolkien lying in the open doorway watching the world go by.

I have replaced the brick with a cross-section of tree trunk. He'll have to build up a lot more muscle before he can shift that.

I hate to keep them shut in but there are foxes about...

Trade Secret

Here's a trade secret I learned off Matthew; if you want your garden bonfire to go like a bomb, put a piece of plastic in it.

Yes I know it's not terribly ecological, but then Matthew is the greenest person I know; he lives in a cabin in the woods with no electricity and an earth toilet, so it can't be that bad, can it?

Anyway, I had this bonfire I've been building all through the winter. It stood about 7 feet tall. I stuck a broken plastic guitar on top of the kindling and WHOOSH!
