The Dream: H.G. Wells

A man living in a 40th century Utopia dreams of his previous incarnation as an early 20th century journalist and publisher. This isn't exactly a novel, more a dissection of the way we live now from the perspective of something not unlike eternity- but Wells is a natural and instinctive story teller and when his characters get the bit between their teeth he lets them run.
