The Good Companions

A big, bouncy, happy-making novel about theatre people. Priestley's plays still get produced- some of them- every now and then- but nobody seems to read his novels any more- which is a pity. This was his biggest hit. It stutters a bit in the second half- as if- having assembled his concert party he's not quite sure what to do with them, but up until then he's riding a rip-tide of comic invention.

Tits In Flight

I don't suppose tits can fly very far. I watch them moving from perch to perch- no hop lasting more than a second or two, and when they're in the air sort of bouncing through it- dipping and rising- boing, boing, boing.
