The Sport Of Kings

My parents got into horse-racing quite late in life. I don't know where it came from. There was no family tradition. And they have failed to establish one.  All their children and grandchildren regard the business with indifference rising to distaste.  My own feelings register quite high on that scale. I don't like gambling; I don't like animal cruelty- and what is horse racing but Bingo plus whips? Oh- and of course- it's something those frightful Windsors enjoy.
