I went up to bed the other night and Ailz sat up and asked me, "Qu'est que tu fais?"- which surprised me because her French doesn't normally extend beyond a Gallic grunt and shrug.  I replied in gibberish and then- when she didn't come back at me- realized she'd been talking in her sleep.

The Beginning Of A Period Of Uncertainty

Ailz has had a letter from the Job Centre informng her that her benefits are due to be reassessed. We'd been told this wasn't going to happen until 2015, but it wasn't a promise.

So, off we go again...

Into Autumn

I just went out and picked the last of the plums. They've been very good. There's no fruit left on the tree now that isn't rotten and being eaten by flies and wasps.

I'll be picking apples soon.
