Queen Elizabeth's Land

I dreamed I was in Antarctica. It was spectacularly beautiful and there wasn't any snow.

This must have been prompted by the decision earlier this week by a bunch of people who've never been there to name a slice of the continent after another person who's never been there.

The Festivities Begin

It's been raining for days. I forget how long exactly. There has been flooding in parts of the country- as is becoming usual. It seems likely we'll have a grey Christmas.

Today we took presents to Sam and the kids. This afternoon we were at Nicola's for the family party. Tomorrow we're off to my mother's, stopping at Alice's for lunch.
