Medical Report

So that's my medical check-up done and dusted for a year. Phew!

So what shall we worry about now.....

My blood pressure was a bit high, but it always is. White coat syndrome, y'know. I seem to have put on a couple of kilos. My conversation with Ailz in the car afterwards went like this.

Me: But I was all bundled up in my winter gear.

Ailz: You were last year too.

Me: I was afraid you'd spot the flaw in the argument.

Recovering

My back is getting better. I mentioned it to the practice nurse (because Ailz said I should) and she smiled.

Ruefully.

It was really bad on Saturday. In spite of which I went for a longish, wrenchingly uncomfortable walk along the Rochdale Canal in Failsworth. I have never felt so old. I had a walking stick with me and was trying not to hobble. I nearly didn't go but then Ailz said something inspiringly stoical and I thought, "No, the night is coming when no-one can work (Biblical, innit?) but it's not here yet and while I can I will."
