Eric, Dot And Odi

Eric and Dot have been using up our not very extensive stock of energy and we've neglected Odi, but she seems to be getting on famously without us. I had little doubt she would. She's going on holiday with her new church and there's a male admirer hovering.

Eric was having scans done yesterday- during the visiting hour, so we saw very little of him. He seemed cheerful.

David Hare has written a play reflecting life at his and my old school- and the Old Boys magazine has asked Chr*st*ph*r C*mpl*ng- who was chaplain in our day- to review it.  Hare's memories are unkindly- and the review tails off into pitiable self defence. Apparently L*nc*ng as C*mpl*ng knew it was "famous for its liberal attitudes". If it was, it had precious little to do with him. Poor old chap; doesn't he know that artists always have the last word?
