A New Category

This morning I created a Category Slaithwaite within the larger category Kirklees, so now the citizens of that small West Yorkshire town (pronounced Slough-it) have a page of their own in Wikimedia Commons with three rather good pictures on it.

I have 89 images in my gallery.  There would be 90 if one of them hadn't been snaffled (see yesterday's post).  And that's about it for the time being.  If I want more I need to go take them first.  A gratifying result of this trawl through the archives has been to see how much more skilful a photographer I've become over the past few years. Most of the pictures I like well enough to share with the world were taken in 2008 and 2009.  Oddly enough the three pictures of Slaithwaite were taken as long ago as February 2006- and they're as good as anything I've done since.  I really rose above myself that day.
