Good Deed

There's a board mounted on the wall in the hallway that must once have supported coathooks but never has done in all the time I've lived here. 

Today we got Carl to screw some new hooks in place and so for the first time in over twenty years there are coats hanging in the hall.

I feel as pleased with myself as if I'd done a good deed.
