Shopping Expedition
Nov. 30th, 2006 11:54 amI've been on an Agatha Christie kick. I read four Poirot novels one after the other. And now I've had enough. She's good, she's very good, but her world was beginning to feel a little claustrophobic; there's too much missing from it.
So we were in Borders- all the riches of world literature spread out before me- and I couldn't find a single thing I wanted to read. I wandered around feeling jaded while Ailz filled her arms with books and teddy bears.
Then we had a cup of coffee and went on into the centre of town and I bought myself a couple of jig saw puzzles.
Just call me Susan Alexander.
And then we bought Ailz some pretty things to wear for Christmas.
