Xmas Blues

I hate it how corporate it is- how we're all expected to be doing the same things at the same times, feeling the same emotions.
But there's no getting off the ride. We know exactly what to expect; those chugging climbs, those swooping falls. The little train has started off. The safety bar is locked in place.

Date: 2005-12-23 06:05 am (UTC)My sibs are coming on the 26th, so I've pretty much managed to entirely avoid anything to do with Christmas. No decorations, no presents (we don't exchange presents). I've been so busy getting ready for them, that has totally preoccupied me. And it's kind of nice. I'd much rather celebrate The Arrival of the Sibs than Christmas. It's far more meaningful to me.
