Chestnuts Roasting On An Open Fire
Ailz has been told she can't drive for six weeks (at least.) Apparently you use your abdominal muscles a lot when you're driving.
It's going to be a quiet Christmas.
No rushing about, no manic cheer.
Oh good.
And not just a quiet Christmas- a quiet winter.

What about course work? Can she still attend by bus?

A quiet Christmas sounds good. And a quiet winter...think of it as hybernation, you'll emerge into spring renewed and energetic.

Hibernations does sound attractive.....

I tend to regard the whole Christmas thing as a capitalist conspiracy.

There are a lot of speedbumps in my neighborhood, and I could feel them every time I went over them for a few weeks.

Do you guys call them "sleeping policemen" or is that purely a Brit thing?

"Hemmed in" is a good description of how I feel about them. The way I used to go all the time has 10 speed bumps, but the way I go now only has two.
I hope Ailz is healing rapidly and that she continues to be as happy as she has looked in her post-op photos!

There are lots of kids round here who have nowhere to play but the streets. The speed bumps keep them safe- and for that I'm grateful.

Lots of healing vibes to Ailz!

If one uses abdominal muscles so much when driving then why is my stomach growing? Perhaps it's all the oreo cookies I've consumed in the passing lane.
no subject
Yeah, the cookies might just have something to do with it :)
