Update
Things weren't getting any better so we went to A & E and- after various tests- they admitted her. She's now on a surgical assessment ward. Later this morning she's going for ultrasound. As she understands it, they're planning to give the antibiotics time to do their work and, they don't they'll take her into surgery and whip the gall bladder out.
We're normally together 24/7. It's odd not to have her here. I'm finding lots of little jobs to do to keep me busy until this afternoon- when I get to visit.

And she is being taken very good care of. This experience has made me a big fan of the Royal Oldham Hospital.

The rabbit is great comapny. (I discovered a patch behind the furniture today where he's worn a hole in the carpet with his "burrowing"

It's interesting to me that they are being so cautious. American medicine is pretty surgery-happy, I guess. This is a fairly common surgery for women in their 40's and 50's, especially heavier women.

I hope they operate. Otherwise, sooner or later there will be a recurrence- and I wouldn't want her to have to go through all this again.

Please tell Ailz that once I had mine out, I haven't had a bit of trouble--not a twinge--for 25 years now.
Much love to you both.

Yes, I'm told that in some cases they perform surgery and send the patient home the same day. I doubt if that will happen with Ailz, though they're moving fast.

Meantime, the best of the best vibrations to Ailz. It's no fun being in the hospital EVER.
much love to you as well.

Yes, everyone tells me it's routine minor surgery. I hope the surgeons go ahead. If they don't this trouble will eventually recur and I would want Ailz to suffer like this again.

But, yeah, gall bladder surgery is a routine business.
Thanks.
