Ailz is bad again. Same trouble. Probably gall bladder. We went to our own doctor and he's prescribed her anti-biotics. Now we're waiting to see what effect they have.

We watched a rare early Kurosawa yesterday afternoon. Scandal. About a libel case and a venal lawyer who sees the light. It's a Christmas movie- part Dickens, part Capra- with snow and a dying child and the singing of Auld Lang Syne (in Japanese.) Also it's something of a practice run for Kurosawa's masterpiece, Ikuru.

First ice, now fog. The forecasters are saying we're going to have our harshest winter for a decade.

Keeping you both in my thoughts. Batten down the hatches for that weather--good excuse to stay inside and nurse Aliz.

Small blessings.....

Fingers crossed for Aliz in hospital. Never fear, you have your intrepid bunny to keep you company until she comes home.

antibiotics for gallbladder trouble? Now that is the first time I hear this. If she doesn't get better in a day or two, try to get a second opinion from an enterologist. Nowadays it is really easy to remove the gallbladder alltogether, and get rid of the whole trouble! Please give her a comforting hug from me!

Thanks.

She's in hospital now and the strategy- as she explained it to me over the phone this morning- is to try antibiotics and if they don't work to take her down to surgery and whip the gall bladder out. They're still doing tests (I don't they they're 100% sure of the diagnosis yet.)

And I think a little for you as well.

Thanks.

I'm bearing up- but it's strange being here on the house alone. Normally we're together 24/7.

Thinking of Ailz and you and
hoping for symptoms quickly eased
and for that matter no harsh winter
(which if the forecasters are wrong
could be a sort of turn about of
the saying "nothings eaten as hot
as its cooked" but I cant quite
work it around so ...no matter)
thank God for antibiotics...I remember
as a little boy it was rather in the
early days of their use and they
were called miracle drugs ...well
...good morning to you both and
here g'night

Thanks.

They are rather miraculous, aren't they?

She's in hospital now and undergoing tests. It's still up in the air whether they can sort the condition with antibiotics or will need to go to surgery.
