I just met Bunny on the stairs. Bunny is grey and the stair carpet is grey and the stair-well is badly lit. Hmmm, some thought needs to be given to this.

He's steadily extending his territory. Yesterday he moved into the front room, where he experiences the carpet as meadowland and tries to eat it. He's a happy bunny. I know because he's been doing that capering about and leaping in the air thing bunnies do. It's called (lovely word) "binking".

He's hard to photograph. Most of the pictures I've taken make him look like an ornament off the mantlepiece. Stiff, generic. Or else he moves and becomes a slinky blur. Here's the best so far.....

He is a VERY handsome bunny!

I remember when I was in kindergarten we had a *pet* bunny. He was a lot bigger than yours is (and I was a lot smaller then). I've always liked them. And you know, rabbits and kitties are good companions. I had (at one time) a devil cat I named Noleen, Eeny for short. She was a rescue and I couldn't litter train her. I had to give her back to the woman I got her from. She was white, with two little black dots on her head (where the horns would have been). Anyway, Eeny went to a home where she has a brother rabbit. They are both white. They sleep together and love each other - and I found out from my vet that this isn't unusual.

the only guinea pig I knew anything about was the one I gave my brother when he moved to Auburn - so he wouldn't be alone. Mark eventually gave HIM away, but always talked about him.

but then, my brother was like St. Francis. ALL animals loved him. I suspect you might be a bit like that, Tony.

I don't know about St. Francis- I mean all that talking to wolves business. I'm leery round big dogs and I'm not that fond of cats (in spite of having been a cat owner once) but, well, I like to have animals around- doing their thing. We've just started putting food out for the birds again. That gives me pleasure, watching them at the feeder, picking at the seeds and suet.
