Bad Timing

 A good night's sleep would have been nice but shortly before bedtime I found myself writing a long poem in the style of a border ballad, thereby ensuring I'd lie awake for hours, cudgelling my brains for rhymes. Twit!

I kept wondering whether to get up and write it down in case I forgot. In the event I did neither.
