From what I've read there's just no-one big enough, and gutsy enough, to lead that kind of movement. The official opposition has folded.

It's been a similar story in Britain. The Conservatives, supposedly the official opposition, have just gone, "yes sir, no sir, three bags full, sir" to everything Blair has done.
