Joe has been told he doesn't have to go back to the army.

That's the main thing. We don't have to fight. The point has been conceded.

So now he gets to stay at home, drawing sick pay, until the processes have been gone through....

Oh, good. I thought about Joe first thing this morning.

So it's done--or being done. Were they kind to him?

The guy who turned up at the house this morning is a member of a team dedicated to processing this kind of case. He was pleasant- in a rough hewn sort of a way. I feel we're in safe hands.
