I haven't had a cold in years.

I woke at four, coughing uncontrollably, so I got up, went downstairs, made myself a cup of tea and read a chapter of William Golding's Close Quarters, then, half an hour later, with the cough settled, went back to bed and slept through till eight.

It was a really pleasant, warm, fuzzy experience.

Compensatory.

Thanks, I'm feeling better- but these things usually take a few days to work themselves out.
