Deliberately Annoying

There was a report last night that Donald Trump is rethinking his stance on man-made global warming, has had a change of heart on torture and has said he wants nothing to do with the alt right. I don't think I dreamed it.

It made me think of that line of Groucho's- "These are my principles and if you don't like them...well, I have others."

I'm seeing Trump as a trickster figure,  here to stir things up, cause annoyance, rearrange the furniture...

But yes I agree that he is playing games. He played a game to get elected, and he is playing more games to stay in power. He is a frighteningly smart man.

I used to think he was remarkably stupid, but the longer this goes on the more respect I have for his cleverness or cunning or whatever it is.
