The Chilcot verdict is in- and it amounts to what everyone except Blair and his acolytes have been saying all along- that Blair was not a fit person to be left in charge of a country.  What I'd like now is for Blair to retire to some place with little connection to the outside world- for some reason St Helena comes to mind- and spend the rest of his time thinking about the choices he made and their consequences. If, instead of this, he continues jetting round the world, drawing attention to himself, I rather hope someone arrests him and puts the legality of his actions to the test.

It would be a satisfaction if finally some Western warmonger would be judged and sentenced for the acts he did - but unfortunately, this is reality and not dream. One better not expects that to happen.

Yes, it's very unlikely that Blair will ever stand in the dock- and a dead cert that none of the US leaders will- but never mind, history has pronounced against them.

It's a touch mind-boggling that, even now, he insists we're all better off for what he did.

What: giving rise to ISIS, with half of Iraq under their control?

The people of Iraq, Afghanistan, Syria, and Yemen surely thank you daily, Mr Blair.

He thinks of himself as a good man who does good things. If he were ever to doubt this it would destroy him.
