Goodbye, Summer '15

Well, that's summer done and dusted. It rained heavily overnight and is still raining this morning. We ran a couple of errands and I wore a coat and cap for the first time in months. I hear there are flood warnings out for our area.

It is kind of change, because it was rain all the summer but about two weeks in august are sunny and hot days in our region.

I think of August weather as hot and sticky with occasional downpours, even the odd thunderstorm. So the rain doesn't strike me as unseasonal. We haven't actually had the hot and sticky this year, not around here, anyway - but I'm not complaining about that!

Yes, been raining here most of the morning and is slowly drying up here in Teynham though i suspect we have not seen the last of the rain.

You might well say "goodbye summer" but at least you have had one. North of the M62 we have barely taken off our cardies. It's been bank after bank of rolling grey cloud since Easter.
