OK, You Win

The cat has worked out how to remove his collar. We came down to breakfast this morning and found it lying on a chair. I offered to put it back on for him and he ran away.

Yes, I know, none of you were in favour of us "belling" him in the first place...

Heavens, I was. I'm a big fan of saving the wildlife.

Also, of keeping the cat collar people in business. If they didn't come off, collars would be handed down from cat to cat and livelihoods would be lost.

Ailz cornered him- and he's wearing it again.

For how long, I wonder...

Count me as another of the bell+ people.

Not a question of being in favour or not.. just having failed so many times to impose my own will over theirs :D.

I was thinking some sort of piercing.

[identity profile] poliphilo.livejournal.com 2015-02-27 03:29 pm (UTC)(link)
I think that's maybe a little excessive.

I have no intention of taking him for walks.

I respect cats for their independence. It's why I can tolerate them better than dogs. Dogs are just so needy.

I was totally in favor of belling him.

[identity profile] poliphilo.livejournal.com 2015-02-27 03:28 pm (UTC)(link)
Good.

Well, he's belled again. Ailz managed to corner him. It probably won't last

I have no comment.

Mine got rid of hers, three times in five years, but it is slightly discouraging that this happened so quickly. Was it buckled tightly enough?

[identity profile] splodgenoodles.livejournal.com 2015-03-01 02:17 am (UTC)(link)
Trouble is, you can't have it on too tightly, lest they accidentally hang themselves. I used to use the collars that come with a little elasticised strip, with the clear understanding that they'd need replacing on a semi regular basis.

Not every day though.

Another vote for belling.

Thank you.
