Ailz throught she'd give up tea and drink hot water with lemon in it. Then she came down with a headache which lasted two days and then she broke her fast and had a cup of tea and the headache cleared immediately. She mentioned this to my sis and Jenny- who is very sparing with caffeinated drinks- said tea has more caffeine in it that most instant coffees.

Hmm.. I'd probably want some evidence of that claim. As far as brewed coffees go, my recollection is you're looking at around 70mg per mug, versus around 30 for tea, though of course, there's quite a bit of variety. That said, I do miss Celestial Seasonings' Fast Lane tea - a beautifully spiced black tea, smelling rather like Christmas cake, with a dash of added caffeine, taking it to around 110mg. I still used to start most of my mornings with a nice triple mocha with caramel syrup (made at home), but on those days when I felt more in a tea mood, Fast Lane was right there. ^_^

(I'd enjoy diet "energy" drinks, but even the own brands are crazily priced versus any cola - £1/litre for Sainsbury's, f'rex, versus 60p for their standard 2l bottle of cola, or 20p for the bargain variety. I just go with the latter - tasty enough for a cola, and mixes perfectly well with vodka too =:)
