I wobble in and out of vegetarianism. For several years now I've been an omnivore because it's easier that way but we were in Waitrose this morning, buying a week's supply of meat and I had moment of revulsion and thought, "What on earth am I doing?"

Ailz and my mother had hamburger for lunch and I had a samosa and a bhaji with boiled rice and chutney.

Nicest meal I've had in ages...

I don't eat meat but there's no great socio-political standpoint involved- I'm just not keen.

However, I do wish people wouldn't teach their children to believe that a chicken is a nugget shaped animal that lives in a plastic bag in a supermarket freezer.

If you wish to eat meat and I've no issue at all with those who do so wish, at least be a bit fussy about sources and production methods.

My cousin is a big meat eater so it is great when i can have some fish, any fish, as he hates fish.Salmon and trout are my favorites but i could never go total veggie.
