Jerusalem Artichokes
Dec. 20th, 2013 09:47 amI love the musty taste but not the texture. I served them in place of potatoes yesterday and nobody was terribly keen. Ailz ate one and then forked her share onto my plate. "Slimy," she said. Of course I did them as plain as plain- just boiled and served straight. The Bible Mrs Beeton suggests a white sauce. Would that make them more palatable? Perhaps I should have fried them.
