poliphiloA loud, disembodied female voice announced we'd lost mains electricity. After much ringing round and testing of fuses, we found the washing machine was to blame. We might have guessed. Last time we ran it it sounded like it was shaking itself to bits on the spin cycle. Going through the paperwork, I find my mother and father bought it 20 years ago.
