New Experience

I cooked a goose egg last night- which I something I'd never done before. The end product was an omlette which my mother ate, but I tried a little bit of it that had fallen on the floor just so I'd know what I'd been missing all these years. It tasted very much like a hen's egg, only blander- which is not what I'd expected.

Maybe the floor sucked all the flavor out of it.

Perhaps it did :)

Hm! Can't say I've ever tried goose egg myself - my understanding is that duck eggs are particularly good, being rather richer than hen. Unfortunately, the one I bought wound up, on (slightly) closer examination, to have been fertilised.

Ostrich is apparently quite similar to hen, in taste, but good for feeding a dozen or two. ^_^;
