If you have five or more children and neither of you can find work the Daily Mail has just come up with a fun new name for you.

If you thought of yourself as a traditional, catholic, working-class family you were wrong. What you are is a "benefits brood".

Imagine the school bully rolling that round his gob on a winter's morning. Imagine it bouncing off the playground walls.

Benefits brood? D'ya have to have a certain amount of children to qualify for that one? Or is that a snarky reference to if you're working class, you're taking money away from the higher class folk?

I keep accidentally finding myself on the Daily Mail website and it's deeply terrifying. It has the same feel as Fox News: combine tabloid sex exploitation with fake puritanism and unmitigated, vile fear-mongering. Does anyone take it seriously?

They both work.

I'd call what they do socially responsible myself but then they're socialists of the sort the Malice affects to despise.......
