A Complaint And A Thank-You

I've just deleted 8 "comments" directing me to sites where I can pick up consumer durables like "Nike Quickruns" and "Fake Raybans". LJ has always attracted a certain amount of spam, but right now it's pouring in like arrows at Agincourt. I don't like it.

Now I've got that off my chest I want to thank Ruth for (a) giving us the carpet from the wedding marquee and (b) hemming up the curtains that had had their bottoms eaten by the rabbits. Now the walls have been painted and the carpet and curtains installed the spare room is finally looking like somewhere you might be happy to spend the night.

I keep getting spammed, too. I is always this random koan that I posted months ago. I go through and unspam it periodically. I don't disable the comments or take any other action because I think that they will just attach themselves to another post. But I do wonder why that particular post gets so much attention.
