London Pride

London Pride is spreading across the front path. Yesterday I levered a chappati sized mass off the flagstones and moved it to the back garden where I hope the rabbits will allow it to live.

I had to rummage in Google to find that plant. It's rather a pretty thing, isn't it? I hope the rabbits leave it alone.

It's very hardy. I don't remember planting it. It has now spread from our front yard to our neighbour's.

I looked it up on Wikipedia. There is a link to a picture of it in full bloom. Absolutely beautiful delicate flowers. In the picture there is an abundance of plants, hence many flowers all on wispy red stems. Lovely! You are so fortunate, no pesky lawn needed there. Although it is named London Pride it would probably thrive in Boston, MA, too!

I couldn't help but picture a parade for a moment...
