poliphiloWe took the chairs down to Ruth's after lunch yesterday, turned round sharply and were back home in time to snuggle down for an afternoon of Olympic tennis.
I watched Usain Bolt win the 100 metres. The guy shambles, but, Lord, does he shamble fast.
I'm reading David Mitchell's Cloud Atlas- the first mainstream (by which I mean Booker-worthy) novel I've come across to use reincarnation as a basic premise.
Our smoke detectors have gone off twice in three days. I'm blaming ozone levels. The first occurrence was during a thunderstorm.
I dreamed about the Beatles as they were in the early days- when they still had that tubby blond fella- you know, wassisname- Boris Johnson- as their lead vocalist.
