Alice has gone into into hospital to have the baby. We drove down this afternoon with a view to getting in everybody's way. We're in a Leicester hotel now (actually outside the city, near the village of Broughton Astley)- waiting for news.
May it all go well. And as others have said...you are experiencing the full cycle of life. I remember when we were at my uncle's funeral a few years ago and one of his sons, my cousin, got a call on his mobile from his son-in-law that my cousin's first grandchild had just been born. A celebration of a life lived and one just begun all in one. It was lovely.
