A Bird On A Wire

poliphiloThat bird I thought was a swallow- I couldn't have been more wrong. It was back today, perching on the wire that crosses the back yard (it was the wire-perching that fooled me.) This time it lingered and I got my glasses on it- and it turns out to be a goldfinch.
They're not rare, but you don't see too many of them round here. My bird book says they're gregarious so where there's one there'll be many. Hooray!
