On The Eve Of The Red Dawn
May. 4th, 2012 10:24 amAilz has run herself into the ground with visiting her dad in hospital every day, so we took a day off and she spent it in bed and I got to snooze in the back yard with the latest copy of Current Archaeology. Apparently medieval people were quite nice to lepers after all- building them hospitals and burying them with decency. Ailz has a postal vote but I like having to make the effort of walking to the polling station and going through the closeted ritual with the paper and the pencil stub. I voted for the Labour candidate and she won. Usually I vote for people who don't have a prayer and it's nice, for a change, to be riding the crest of the wave.
