Jonathan Harare

Ever heard of Jonathan Harare? I hadn't either until I woke this morning with his name in my head. I googled him- and was confirmed in my suspicion that he doesn't actually exist. Or perhaps, now, he does. I imagine him as an adventurer in a safari suit...

I was lying there thinking about Jonathan Harare when the phone rang and I thought, "Oh God, my father-in-law..." Only it wasn't anything to do with him.  When we changed our phone supplier we were given a disused number belonging to a company called Royton Glass. We get a lot of calls from people wanting to do business with them- and this was one of those.

If you write him, I'll read him. It's a good name.

Not my kind of story I'm afraid...

You are perhaps thinking of the radical journalist and plagiarist Johann Hari?
