Easter And After

The Easter holiday was mainly grey and wet and cold. We neglected to do anything Eastery. On Sunday my sister Skyped us and we got to share at a distance in her family get together- which was nice. One of my great nephews demonstrated the uses of a clockwork chick called Chip.

Today has been showery, with sunny intervals- classic April weather. We went into Ashton on errands for Ruth and my in-laws and bought ourselves a couple of flowering hyacinths in Ikea, remaindered at 99p each.

What are the uses of a clockwork chick named Chip?

It runs across the carpet and- er- that's it really.

I love hyacinths...such pretty and sweetly scented flowers.
Plant the bulbs in the garden when they're done flowering and the leaves have dried.

I don't think we'll plant them outside, because bunny will eat them- but we're planning to hang onto them for next year.
