More Unseasonable Weather

They said we'd have snow; I didn't really believe them; It's April, for pity's sake, and we've been enjoying a record-breaking stretch of warm weather. But they were right. And we didn't just have snow, we had a blizzard. I'm not usually frightened by harsh weather; I like the sound of the wind grumbling in the chimney; but last night I was lying in bed, unable to sleep, waiting for the roof to lift off. This morning the wind has dropped, but it's still snowing.

Good lord!

It will be in the low 70s, here, today, with thunderstorms. I distinctly remember driving to work in four inches of snow on 1 April 1993, though. We've had at least one other April snow since, but not this year.

Best of luck and do stay warm.

Thanks. It's not that cold, but there's quite a wind. The snow is thawing even as it falls.

The weather is indeed crazy. It's been very warm here in Minnesota. All March, it was beautiful and warm. VERY unusual.

Strange days, indeed...

The weather has been insane all over.
I hope your Spring returns!

Things are quietening down. There's still snow on the hills but round here it's all gone. The daffodils are looking less harassed than I expected.
