Weather Report

The snow began falling around lunch time and continued into the evening. I went out to feed the rabbit and within an hour or two my footprints had been covered over.

The rabbit has been bouncing around. When we moved him out into the garden I was afraid he'd suffer when winter came. In the event he seems happier and more active the colder it gets. I wish we could move the other two out to join him (and reclaim their room for human occupation) but he'd kill them for invading his space.

This morning it's warmer. A thaw has begun. I no longer feel as if the cold were radiating out from my bones.

Hurrah for snow and the thaw!

I fear there won't be any snow, this year, for us. Was looking at some pictures and saw that we had over a foot on the ground, two years ago. We've had a skiff so far and that is it.

I'm glad we've had a proper snowfall. Winter isn't winter without some of the white stuff. But now I'd like it to go away.

Careful what you wish for, as always.

I'm glad to hear that Outdoor Bunny is in his element!
Have you put a hutch for him to shelter in out there?

I think your snow is moving out after tomorrow.

He lives in a shed. There's a hutch in the shed, but he never uses it; instead he sits on the roof. There's a hole cut in the shed door through which he comes and goes.

Last year the amount of snow we got was downright frightening. At this time a year ago there were three feet of snow on the roof of my building and because of no yards and a narrow street and sidewalk, there was no way our maintenance people could shovel it and no place to put it. So we prayed that the roof would not fall in.
This year there is no snow whatsoever, and we have mostly early springlike days all through December, January, and ow again into February.

I remember that. Scary!
