Wow, you just made my whole week. That video would've been good even without Josephine Baker, but it's always nice to come across what little footage of her there is. I have one of her movies on DVD, but it always bugs me her directors never followed Fred Astaire's lead and shot her in long takes dancing full frame.

Now I'm thirsty.

Baker is just one of many great performers who didn't spend enough time in front of the cameras. I've been looking at British music hall performers- all of them legends- most of them surviving in pitiful little rags of movies.
