Briefly
Our Indian summer is going, going, not quite gone. We've had unsettled weather, followed by heavy rain, but it's still warm.
I picked pears yesterday.
I've been reading Tom's Midnight Garden. Pearce has this bifocal vision of childhood as both a golden time and a time of loneliness and oppression. Adults don't understand what that feels like because they've forgotten- but not all of them have. It's a lovely book. It made me cry.

(I posted this one twice, finally deleted it because of typos. I think my keyboard needs a good cleaning because it skips a lot of letters when I am typing).

I'm loving the change in weather, looking forward to crisp Autumn mornings though... didn't like that heat in October, not natural! ;)
