Christa is in hospital and Odi is in there with her. I think she's sprained her wrist, but with a baby you can't be sure and so they've been doing tests and now she has diarrohea- which is what haoppens to people when they go into hospital. Stay away, folks- hospitals make you ill! I was down on the floor with her this morning and she was using her poorly hand to pick up toys so I think she's getting better.
Meanwhile Ailz's mother is panicking because the dog is pissing in the corridor and needs its insulin and will we go get it? What that dog really needs is putting to sleep but now is not the time to talk about that, what with my father-in-law being so emotionally fragile.

My 89-year-old mother went in for observation, fell out of bed and broke her hip. No, I suppose that I can't really blame the hospital for that - except that it was in the early hours, when you might think that it was quiet enough for someone to notice that she wasn't very tall, the bed was a bit high, and she might need help - esp as the reason that she was there was that she'd been found on the floor a few times, apparently uninjured but unable to explain what had happened -
Oh yes, and after surgery for the hip, she too got diarrhoea - and dehydration -

I think it struggles. When Ailz went in to have her gall bladder out a few years back she picked up an infection that would have been serious if she'd been older and weaker.
