The earliest bits are 12th century. The large brick chapel to the left is 17th century. It's a fascinating accretion of bits and pieces.

This was my first visit. I was expecting the churchyard to be a lot wilder and overgrown.

Yes, i remember it being wild and overgrown - as were so many churchyards in the 50s and 60s

I prefer churchyards to be overgrown. I hate it when they remove the monuments and mow the lawns.
