An Experiment In Childcare

Odi dropped by just before lunch. She had come straight from church and the kids were demob-happy. Fabi threw a tantrum about something or other and I tried shouting at him- not because I'd lost it, but quite cold-bloodedly- to see if it would work. It didn't.

I think that may be against the Law :)

The best thing to do in the face of a tantrum is laugh and clap, as if the child were putting on a most amazingly amusing performance.

It may make the child think you have gone insane, but they quit when they realize the tantrum is not having the desired effect.

A bucket of cold water in the face works too, but I don't recommend it. LOL

That's a great suggestion. I'll try it.
