Annoying Old People Are Really Annoying

Ailz rings her mother to say, "I'm feeling too ropey to visit today".

"Yes, but can you go pick up the dog's insulin"

"Not at the moment. What is it about  'feeling too ropey' you don't understand?"

"Yes, but can you go pick up the dog's insulin"

This annoys me so much I tell Ailz to tell her mother to fuck off. Only I don't say it out loud; I mouth it.

And then I write this post.

I suspect it has little to do with age and a lot to do with entitlement based on past experience.

I am getting more and more hard hearted and angry about people who refuse to hear others to get what they want in calculated oblivion. Let the fucking dog die in a diabetic coma, I feel like saying, but I'm mean and I fight with my family so I'm a bad example.

No actual dogs were harmed during the making of this comment, btw.

What a pity.

I'm not a dog-lover. And this one should have put down ages ago.

Yep, I am here with you. Absolutely. If Ailz's mum genuinely can't look after her dog, she should have it put down or apply to the council for a carer.

It should have been put to sleep ages ago. It's not only diabetic, but blind, scrofulous and obese- and pisses on the carpet. It's costing them a ton of money.

The dog is not only diabetic but blind and obese- and can just about waddle as far as the back door. When it can't be arsed it pisses on the carpet. Oh, and I was forgetting, it also has an expensive skin complaint.

Yes, it has a lot to do with entitlement. Ailz's mother has been horrible to her all her life and now expects to be waited on.

:;is wondering if you have Dog and Ma together as the one creature in your mind. Then you could call them DogMa!::

Or indeed Mad Dog.

LOL.

My father-in-law is also in the mix. He's the one who refuses to have the dog put to sleep.

Sometimes all one can do is write the post.
I love dogs with all my heart and have two and will have more when these pass on. But if I ever get to the point where I cannot personally provide for their needs, I will stop having dogs at home.

This dog is diabetic, overweight, blind and unable to move very far. They don't give it exercise and they feed it all sorts of unsuitable things.

I have no patience with manipulative parents.
